Windpower Nepal is in the transition from a renewable energy consultancy to a wind energy project developer or implementation partner. In his struggle to get Nepal’s first wind energy pilot project from the ground, Kushal is searching for partners and financing.
We interviewed Kushal extensively about his activities, his personal ambitions and his plans to establish wind energy projects in Nepal. While Kushal had clearly done a lot of research on technology, wind speeds, locations, pricing and his potential clients, he had not been focussing enough on what his own role would be. Together we zoomed in on this, using the Business Model Canvas to identify what his value proposition would be. The Canvas helped us to make a To Do list, highlighting all little steps that he had to take to make the pilot project a reality.
They were very helpful in providing us valuable insight to fine tune our business model. Their expert opinion and hands on mentoring was crucial for us to see the missing dots. We are now more confident with our concept and quite excited to bring it to the next level.
It was very rewarding to see that, as our talks progressed, Kushal was getting more enthusiastic about the project. I think we truly helped him to get unstuck and move on to the next phase.
